How to Use Eye Pattern in Our Daily Life
If you are talking to somebody and his eyes move towards
right then you should always talk in future tense. Please
do not break his pattern otherwise he will not like that.
Then the rapport at the brain level will be broken because
the subconscious mind is like the horse of our chariot.
We are always guided and directed not by our consciousmind but by our subconscious mind. Hence, if the speaker is in future, if his eyes are in the right direction, please keep him there and if he is in past then please keep him
in the past. Then only will he love you to be there. He
will remember you for many years even if you do not
meet him. Have you ever noticed that sometimes you
miss somebody without any reason? Sometimes you start
liking somebody without having known that person for
very long. It is nothing but the unbelievable gift of the
subconscious mind. You develop a liking for somebody
if your wavelengths match and if you are able to connect
with the person at various levels. We have heard that
opposites attract each other, but in reality this is limited
to only sexual relationships. I have never heard a person
saying, “I like him because he is just the opposite of me.
He always opposes my ideas. I like him because he is
against me.” This never happens. It is a fact that persons
of similar nature get along very well. That is why it is said
that the birds of a feather flock together.
When you are telling your child something or giving
a command, then never leave him unless you have
communicated clearly. You should be very clear as to
what you want your child to see or listen or feel. If you
are not clear, it means you are giving a conflict command
and a conflict command will always give a split result. It
is needless to say, you will not like the result. Many
parents keep telling certain things or disciplining their
children without noticing its impact on them. They
should start noticing, otherwise the children will just reply
in the affirmative without understanding anything. Many
a times at our workplace we ask our subordinates to do certain things. They say yes, but do not follow it, because while giving them instructions we do not bother to see whether the command is clear or not, whether whatever we have said is clear to them or not. You must have noticed that whenever you place an order with a waiter, then before leaving, the waiter repeats your order. If even then you do not get what you have ordered, then whose fault is it?
Of course yours, because you did not give importance to giving proper attention to the waiter so that he could understand what you wanted and subsequently deliver the same.
Again, if somebody is in the feeling mode, that is, if his eyes have gone down towards right, then we should keep him in feeling mode only. Otherwise the pattern will be interrupted. At an advance level, we can notice the placement of the eyeballs also. Through the movement of the eyeballs we can understand whether a person is visual-oriented or audio-oriented or feeling-oriented. In case the eyeballs are both upwards, then the person is primarily visual. We should talk in picture form because such people understand in picture form. Similarly, in case
if somebody’s eyes are down in the right direction, then the person is in feeling mode. Hence we should keep that person in feeling mode only. Through eyes we should know when to close the deal.
Suppose a realtor is showing a house to a lady and the lady happens to like the house and is in a decision-making mood and wants to buy the house. But the realtor could not understand the situation and tells her that he will show a better house than that. By saying this he will actually
confuse her and it is sure that she will finally not buy any
property. In fact, she was in a decision-making mood but
the realtor had lost the deal. Another property might be
better in the eyes of the realtor, but not in the eyes of the
buyer. It is crystal clear that only that realtor can make a
good deal who understands the needs and choices of
the
customer. If any realtor masters this skill
of understanding the eye pattern, he can take his business
on top of the world because he understands the
customer better than his competitors. Hence, as a negotiator, we should always notice the eye and its patterns.
Eyes are said to be the windows to the heart and soul. In my seminars, before the eye pattern is discussed, everybody says they can catch liars through normal experience but for me that is just guess work and is based only on gut feeling. But after my seminar they try to evaluate the eye pattern scientifically and reach a
common conclusion that yes, it makes a big difference.
But I always advise everybody not to use this with their
spouse.

The authentic and the set pattern of eyes is that moving the eyes in the right direction will always construct an image which does not exist. When the eyes are in the right irection, picture of a constructed situation or a constructed event is taken. Similarly, when the eyes are in the right direction, parallel to the ears, then future sound is constructed. If the eyes are moved down in the right direction then that represents feelings.In the similar fashion, if the eyes move on the top towards left, it represents the picture of past happenings. If the eyes are moved left, parallel to the left ear, then the past sound would be recalled and if the eyes are moved on extreme left down, it means the person is lost in his own world. Many a times, listeners don’t ask anything not because they understand everything but because they do not listen to anything. In most cases, it is found that the person either speaks or plans to speak. hese type of people, always keep their eyes down in the left direction while listening.Now is it clear how can we catch liars? Suppose somebody refers to something of the past but his eyes move in the right direction, then this indicates that the person is lying, since there is no congruency. Even lie detector works on non-voluntary muscles. But in order to be a master user you need a lot of practice. You need to be trained in asking questions and in using the sub-modalities of the questions. Suppose you go to a property consultant and say you want to buy a particular property. The consultant tells you that it has 
been sold to another party, but he can consider giving you the property. Now to find out if he is lying, ask—Where did that party come from? What is his name? How big a house he wanted? If, while answering the questions, the property consultant moves his eyes up towards right, it means that he is creating pressure on you by telling lies. Now you should plan how you can produce counter pressure and grab the deal by bargaining better!Again, imagine that you are a sales manager and your  sales team said that they have visited 20 places. Ask them about the destinations, time of reaching, matter of talk and modality of talk. Now again, in this case, look at the team leaders and team members. In case they move their eyes towards right, it means they are lying. They have not visited the places, rather they have all ganged up to fool the company.Again, if you are an HR head and in an interview if a candidate says hat he was getting a particular salary package, then immediately look into his eyes. In case his eyes move towards right it means that the amount he was drawing is not same as he has mentioned. The point is, if the speaker’s words are not commensurate with the non-voluntary muscles, then it means the person is lying. Sometimes people are in the habit of telling lies without any benefit. We have to be very careful of these kind of people. Even if they don’t harm directly, many a times they waste our time. They are time wasters. If a person says something of past by moving his eyes towards left then that means he is speaking truth. Again, if you give somebody a direction to do something new and he takes his eyes to the left and says that he will go there, understand that he will certainly not go there. Here you have to change the sub-modalities to show him the future picture, make him hear the future sound and you have to make him feel also so that he is convinced and is going to be benefitted.If you scold your child and ask him whether he was wth his friend or not and your child repeatedly says no, he was not there but his eyes are in the left direction down, it means your child  talking to himself. At this point the child should not be asked anything because he is not listening to you and has gone in the past pattern. Here you have to be very careful if you really want to communicate your message to him. Many parents speak loudly to make their children understand. Remember, if your child is in internal communication pattern, then you should not tell him anything, as it will be a complete waste. You should first change his modality and then you should give him any command.

As I have mentioned earlier, our incredible human machine has two types of muscles—voluntary muscles and non-voluntary muscles. While communicating, if we notice and observe the non-voluntary muscles carefully, then we can find out whether a person is lying or not. Non-voluntary muscles are those muscles which we cannot move as per our desires and commands. These have their own patterns as they are controlled by the nervous system. Our brain moves these muscles according to a preset program me installed by the Almighty. This cannot be changed knowingly to deceive any individual. These muscles have a set pattern and behave according to that. These muscles are found in eye pupils or eye balls or eyelids and heart beat, etc.

Whenever you feel that God has been unkind to you, then put it on right and immediately raise the left thumb and ask with intensity, “In comparison to whom?” Hopefully you will get an answer. In our life, at least once, every individual thinks that God is very much unkind to him or her. Whenever items like too much, too many, or too expensive come, then always ask, in comparison to whom or in comparison to what. You may have heard the story that when somebody was complaining about shoes,
he found that the other person did not have legs. By using the de-anchoring technique we can delete our false and painful assumptions, we can take some of the following common comparing beliefs which create limitations and
constraints. By asking some basic questions we can create empowering belief.

Now concentrate on the index finger and try to understand all generalisations that you make about groups and society. You should always ask in a specific manner. Never blame the entire group. Choose one which is responsible
for that. Whenever any question comes that they do not understand, then immediately ask, “Who among them?” If you feel that they are not going to give you a fair chance, then ask yourself who is not going to give you the fair chance. Exactly who the person is, who specifically are they? Again, if you see that your idea cannot work,
then immediately ask which one of your ideas may not work. Again, if you hear that your plans cannot be executed, then ask a simple question, “Which plan is not working?” In my seminars I come across people who say that their family members do not understand them at
all. I suggest to them to ask simple questions as to who among their family does not understand them.The bottom line is that you should not enhance yourproblem. Look at the problem specifically and stayfocused.

Now let us move the middle finger of the right hand. Whenever you tell yourself to do something then ask yourself, “When? How? Where?” This will provide you direction, pace, extent, and destination. Brain does not understand unless we make a specific command. Unless it is clear, brain will not consider it. So whenever you feel depressed, ask yourself why you feel depressed. In my seminars, especially in BPOs, I always ask, “How do you get depressed?” The answer I get is, “Pressure”. I simply ask, “Have you seen the life of a student of class 3 or 4? They too have a lot of pressure, such as peer pressure, pressure of the teachers, parents’expectations, etc. Then they have fear of not performing, fear of rejection from siblings, fear of being insulted in thesociety by the teachers, parents, and friends. They have to manage so many things and so many persons at the same time. It is all about how you limit yourself. It is how you create avenues for yourself to be depressed. In BPOs especially, “stressed up” has become a fancy word. People love to be called “stressed up”. Once I was conducting a seminar for Tech Mahindra company and it was a challenge to convince very senior level people that all stress in our lives is the result of our false assumptions. We have developed the culture of stress. In this situation, just ask yourself how you have become stressed up. You will find a particular pattern in your behaviour like shoulder down, eyes down, etc. Again if you ask yourself that you want to take a new project, then immediately ask, “How? When? Where?” This will provoke you to take massive actions for your project which will enhance your thinking and provide an opportunity to excel. Mere thinking and dreaming cannot shape your destiny and cannot do anything for you. Success is always buried next to frustration. The fire resembles the problem: the problem which might kill persons, the problem which can physically harm. If you want to improve your designation, visualise that you have attained that designation by taking your eye in the right direction.

Right hand ring finger—Now let us concentrate on the ring finger of the right hand, 100% denied. If anybody denies 100%, then do not ask why, as even a thief or a criminal or any antisocial element has a 100% valid reason for doing a crime. Even in hypnosis, we never ask the question “Why?” We always ask them what will be the result in case you do not take that action. I ask in my seminars what will happen if you do not love your wife. Of course I get theanswer, “If I do not love my wife then somebody else will do so.”In case you are not willing to work, then ask yourself what will be the result if you do not work. The picture of the consequences will force you to work, or the picture of the result will force you to take a decision. Again, needless to say, this will prepare you to face the result.

Right hand little finger—Let us position 100% irrelevant facts on the little finger of the right hand. These are those facts that do not exist in reality, but we have accepted them as a matter of fact and our life is governed by them. It means we are governed by our self created world of limitations and constraints. These limitations stop us from moving forward and, furthermore, sabotage our success. Now whenever a situation comes, then concentrate it on the little finger of your left hand. If your perception is not filtered properly, then it will not allow you to move forward, rather it will create an avenue to move away. Unless we stop generalising, deleting, and distorting the meaning of an event, any happening won’t be providing a new possibility. You can refer to the following-
100% bluff—Sometimes we say that kids today have no manners. By making this statement, we create an emotion which is negative. With the sound of this statement, our physiology goes down. Our behaviour gets affected. At this moment, ask yourself by raising little finger of left hand—is it really 100%? An answer from your subconscious will come, i.e., “No”. It is not 100%, rather we have made it 100% as a result of our own perceptions.Suppose you are moving in your car and suddenly a rickshaw puller comes in front. Within a fraction of moment you exclaim, “You all Biharis have no sense.” Again you say, “Oh Bihari get lost.” Here you are creating an identity about the people of Bihar. You are creating a bluff as if every person from Bihar is a rickshaw puller. It is not at all the reality. Do you think it is reality? No. Now next time, in case event. Map is not the territory. Even behaviour of a single person changes with the passage of time. As we know there is an old saying “time and tide changes every moment”.Similarly, you may believe that all secretaries have affairs with their bosses or seniors. So whichever office you go to, you will assume that there also secretaries and their bosses are having affairs. You will start matching their relationship wherever you go. You will focus on their age, on their looks and so on. You will forget your basic job for which you went there. Your attention will be diverted
to some other direction which is, of course, not relevant to you.you go to meet an IAS officer and you find he is from Bihar, it is needless to say that you will not be able to develop a positive rapport with him. Poor image about Biharis will not allow youto be natural and your communication process will be incomplete. Now concentrate on the little finger of your left hand and ask yourself, “Are all Biharis rickshaw pullers?” You will get the answer from your subconscious mind. “No. This is not the reality.” Remember, every event is a single Again, many women say, “All men are bastard.” In my seminar, I asked a girl what her idea about her father was. She could not say anything. At this point of time, you ask the little finger of your left hand is it really 100% true, you will get the answer, “No”. In fact, you are making a lie or simply perception to 100% truth. And you will
notice that your emotions are not in control.You suffer from pain, and you make your assumptions in poor state, because of your own belief system. I can
bet it never exists in reality. If you make full truth from half truth or no truth, you start believing your doubt and doubting your belief. This kills your way of life and shapes your behaviour that stops you from taking actions. Again, some bosses say that their subordinates never work. They should ask themselves, “Really?” The answer of this question will be “No.” By doing this, they will feel ecstatic. And they will realise that not all subordinates are lazy, rather most of them work hard and are responsible for making them the boss. Most people say that all politicians
are useless. Remember this will not allow you to grow and
respect your country. I found in India that most people hate politicians but they always talk about politics.We know about the behaviour of a person in a particular context and we judge him from that instance. Remember, a person’s behaviour is contextual and it changes as the context changes.
